i think its safe to finally post what my predictions were for the first round of the play offs:

flyers v. pens - pens in 5 (actual: pens in 6) - i even had the first 4 games right, flyers l, l, w, l. they ended up winning game 5 and losing game 6.
bruins v. habs - bruins in 7 (bruins in 4) - didnt see the sweep there, but i should have expected it due to injuries. they really went at it in the regular season so i thought it would last longer.
rangers v. caps - caps in 6 (caps in 7) - much closer than i thought
canes v. devils - canes in 7 (canes in 7) - both teams are really similar so i thought it was going to come down to the wire, which it did.

sharks v. ducks - sharks in 5 (ducks in 6) - sharks are usually my fav team in the west to do something, and they never do. another year of disappointment.
red wings v. blue jackets - wings in 4 (wings in 4) - one of my no brainers for the first round.
canucks v. blues - nucks in 4 (nucks in 4) - second of the no brainers.
blackhawks v. flames - hawks in 6 (hawks in 7) - going to be close but given past history of the flames, didn't think they would make it out of the first round. hawks have a decent teams and it shows. might be the cinderellas this year.

i missed every pick in my baseball draft tonight except for the 1st and last pick thanks to comcast going down.

on the plus side, joacim eriksson, a prospect goalie for the flyers jackie and i saw over the summer, broke the top 20 on hockey futures for flyers prospects (15th and top goalie). he was the best goalie they had at the camp and hopefully he can make the jump over in a few years.

all it takes is one lose/improperly connected wire in my light switch to lose light in two different rooms. when they went in to see if there was an issue with my light switch in my living room (i had to lamps blown out/trip the breaker - turns out there was an issue with the wires), not having a good connection between my wires prevented my kitchen light from working and also turned off my bathroom light while they were working on it.

Briere is out 3-4 weeks now as well. I find it interesting we call him Danny while the other media coverages call him Daniel.

I also think finally that comcast fixed my internet. Maybe, maybe not. I can never tell with them anymore.

Jones is having surgery now, out 6-8 weeks.

Word is also Richards isn't practicing. It's like 07/08 all over again. The flyers site had a poll about the most important thingL chemisty, wins, or avoid injuries. I said avoid injuries and so far they aren't.

downie got hurt as he feel to the ice after a fight (but should make it in time for the season opener)
    jones is/was having hip trouble

look at that injured list start to grow - and the worst part is it makes me miss berard who was let go after his try-out.

i dont think the flyers can afford him with their cap, but i would love to see claude lemieux play as a flyer. hes a beast for the play offs. currently the number of cup winning flyers is...dowd who might make the team out of camp again and now long-term injured/retired hatcher. lemieux alone has more cups than both of those players combined and will give a much needed veteran boost to the young players and will give us some more pop for the play offs.

i hate comcast, theyre a bunch of retards. first i called about the center ice package yesterday and they didn't know when it would be available. thats understandable. today i called them since i saw they had it on their website, which you can't add to your service via their webpage. the person was like "fuh fuh fuh, center ice package?" i told them it was available and it said sing up today to get a discount. apparently, i had to direct them to their own website to prove it was indeed available.

second, im still not on the account. my mom, who is the primary account holder, had added me twice as an authorized account holder so i could, you know, like add my center ice package. according to them, im still not on the account. so this will be the 3rd time i had to get my mother to add me to an account i was already added on. i had to request another, the second time, a form to be sent to me so i can have the account put into my name and not hers. they never sent it the first time. i swear if i could have changed to verizon or any other carrier i would have.

i love calling comcast and getting different answers all the time. by love i mean hate. they keep saying there is no offer, but calling another person she said there was BUT NOT in my area. it seems like everyone in the surrounding area can do it EXCEPT for baltimore city. my favorite answer though was it was a national offer, but not local. now i understand why rather then just be pissed off at a vague answer. i mean i dont understand WHY they do it the way they do, but i understand now when they mean it wasn't being offered locally. theyre still jerks though.

    two things i hate

    1) comcast - jerks who want my money and say one thing thats retarded while they really know better. they kept saying oh no no no no promotion, there really is.

    2) my school - they need to work on being prompt still. i just learned i need another book for class. lucky for me i did the assignments already since they were posted last week...kinda. i had to check several different areas for them.

over the last few weeks, im pretty sure the flyers have no ability to use a cap and make trades that make sense.

    1) trading for a player then trading them away for fear of them not signing with us (and follow up he signed witht he team we traded him to)

    2) trading for d we don't really need

    3) signing players to stupid contracts (umberger signed a deal that will give him 3-4.5 mil a season, which is what hes worth - carter is getting 5 mil a season which is too much for a cap and is only 3 years)

    4) signing players we dont need when the nhl thrives on young, speedy, talented players - we dont need another tough guy who cant score (giving us 2 players who can fight but not do anything else)

get your act together before all the other teams pass us and we're sitting here going why why why - its because you cant manage a team

pift - prospal for a 7th round pick...worthless. we traded more than that for him. couldnt we have tried to resign him or trade him for something within the first 200 picks?

"Vinny really didn’t express much of an interest in coming back and playing for us next season,” said Holmgren in making the announcement. “His heart is elsewhere.”

    hell never be happy anywhere.

my new computer is almost up and running. i just want to get a wireless keyboard. plus i cant get the windows update to work, which sucks but isnt a deal breaker. and the internet here, the wireless network, isnt the best so i kept having issues last night with it. right now it seems to be working.

I think my computer is starting to finally lose it. I'm not sure if its the wireless connector, but only a few web sites will actually load. The rest just sit there and not load. Then some programs won't open like VLC players, Windows Media Player, and once Norton Internet Security.
